E noi respiriamo insieme a lei.

A DETOX DAY FOR CEFALU
Like us humans, who sometimes need to stop, breathe, and free ourselves from stress, even cities need a detox day.
A day without traffic, noise, honking, and rush. A day when Cefalù can breathe again and we can rediscover it with greater serenity.
Why not organize, one Sunday in spring and one in autumn, **”Cefalù Respires”**, a big day without cars?
For a few hours, the streets could belong to people: families strolling, children playing, teenagers on bikes, people running, and citizens reclaiming common spaces.
We could open all the churches and cultural sites, the museum, organize guided tours, strolls on the Rocca, and itineraries to discover the lesser-known corners of the city. Guides, historians, and experts could tell about Cefalù, while associations, artists, musicians, and local operators would contribute to making the day special.
Of course, emergency services, assistance for people with reduced mobility, and the essential needs of residents would remain guaranteed, even through small electric vehicles.
It wouldn’t be a battle against cars, but a city experiment: a way to understand how much Cefalù can still be even more beautiful, livable, and environmentally friendly.
Cities accumulate stress too. Cities also need to slow down, breathe, and regain their balance.
Let’s give Cefalù its detox day. “Cefalù Respires”. And we breathe together with it.
