THE MARKET IN THE HEART OF CEFALÙ
Piazza San Francesco could be transformed, twice a week, into a beautiful, orderly space that’s easy to reach on foot, dedicated to a farmers’ market: a place where producers, residents, and visitors can meet.
The square could also host small antiques, collectibles, vintage, and secondhand markets, giving new life to objects that tell our history.
Organizing these small markets in areas close to the center would be a convenience for residents and tourists alike, as well as creating a new attraction for people visiting Cefalù. Piazza San Francesco is just one example: other suitable locations could also be identified, keeping the same concept of quality, order, and accessibility.
Of course, the images and proposals I publish are products of imagination and do not represent already-approved projects. They are meant to spark reflection and to show what Cefalù could become.
Because the vision held up to now still does not live up to what this town deserves.

IL MERCATO NEL CUORE DI CEFALÙ
Piazza San Francesco potrebbe trasformarsi, due volte alla settimana, in uno spazio bello, ordinato e facilmente raggiungibile a piedi, dedicato al mercato del contadino: un luogo dove produttori, cittadini e visitatori possano incontrarsi.
La piazza potrebbe ospitare anche mercatini dell’antiquariato, del collezionismo, del vintage e dell’usato, dando nuova vita a oggetti che raccontano la nostra storia.
Organizzare questi piccoli mercati in aree vicine al centro rappresenterebbe una comodità per residenti e turisti, oltre a creare una nuova attrattiva per chi visita Cefalù. Piazza San Francesco è soltanto un esempio: si potrebbero individuare anche altri luoghi adatti, mantenendo lo stesso concetto di qualità, ordine e accessibilità.
Naturalmente, le immagini e le proposte che pubblico sono frutto della fantasia e non rappresentano progetti già approvati. Servono a stimolare una riflessione e a mostrare ciò che Cefalù potrebbe diventare.
Perché la visione avuta fino a oggi non è ancora all’altezza di ciò che questa città merita.
